Legal issues are stressful. Getting answers shouldn't be.
Hicks Law limits its practice to criminal defense and temporary restraining orders. We represent people charged with crimes in Hawaiʻi courts at every stage, from investigation and arrest through trial and appeal. This includes criminal traffic offenses such as OVUII and related administrative license revocation (ADLRO) hearings. We also handle temporary restraining order and protective order proceedings, whether you are seeking one or responding to one.
Consultation fees
- Criminal matters: $100 for a 20-minute phone consultation
- Temporary restraining orders (TRO): $400 for a one-hour phone consultation
- In-Person consultation (criminal or TRO): $600 for a one-hour consultation
Consultation fees are payable at the time of scheduling. If you retain Hicks Law for the matter after your consultation, the full consultation fee is credited toward your fee under the retainer agreement.
Ready to talk?
If you're facing a criminal charge or a restraining order matter and would like to schedule a consultation, you may SCHEDULE AND PAY FOR YOUR CONSULTATION ONLINE. Alternatively, you can call (808) 808-6687, or chat with our team on this site. We'll get back to you promptly and help you understand your next steps.
What we do not handle
We do not provide consultations or representation in any other type of matter, including but not limited to:
- Traffic infractions (non-criminal tickets such as speeding or parking citations)
- Civil lawsuits or other civil proceedings
- Divorce, child custody, child support, paternity, adoption, or other non-criminal family court matters
If your matter falls outside our practice, we encourage you to contact the Hawaiʻi State Bar Association's Lawyer Referral & Information Service or another attorney.
Contacting Hicks Law through this site, by phone, or by chat does not create an attorney-client relationship. A consultation does not mean we have agreed to represent you in your case; representation begins only after a written retainer agreement is signed. Please do not send confidential details about your case until we have scheduled your consultation.
